The study shows that the higher the eucalyptol level in the blood, the better the subjects' memory performance. The substance enters the bloodstream via the lung and nasal mucous membranes and from there via the blood-brain barrier into the brain. Approximately 35% to 45% of rosemary essential oil consists of eucalyptol. An increase in cognitive performance of 60-75% is therefore possible.
